Our first bike of the week for 2015 is this very blue Baum Corretto that is now being ridden on the bay areas roads. Featuring the new Campagnolo Record group, Zipp 303 tubular rims laced with Sapim CX-Ray spokes to White Industry T-11 hubs and shod with Continental Competition 25mm tubulars. 3T Rotundo Pro bar, Deda tape and a Fizik R1 Arione saddle make up the cockpit and King Ti cages and speed play stainless pedals round out the build. This is also a very big bike 260cm that doesn't look too big which is always tough to make happen.
This is Baums GTB paint scheme. The main color is Deep Crystal Blue with accents in Rapha Blue, SRAM Red, Satin White and Arctic Silver.
The new 2015 front derailleur does feel smoother and the shifts between the rings is noticeably faster and more accurate. We don't have enough miles on it to really see how the trim works across the range, but so far, so good.
Changed up the logo just a bit which now looks better on the stays.
The White Industry T-11's are great hubs, very smooth and made right up the road from us.
Baum uses Enve seat posts for all of their builds. The new Fizik Arione R1 has been popular lately as well.
We still prefer the the single pivot rear brake from Campagnolo.
Thanks for reading and see you next week!
