In the days before well-ventilated lightweight polyester fabrics saw widespread use in cycling jerseys, there were other solutions employed in blisteringly-hot conditions. Namely, scissors. Many riders were apt to lop the sleeves off of kit, slash holes in tops, and remove the tops from caps. Thus, the scissor print on the rear of CHPT3's hyperlight FORBICI (Italian: Scissors) jersey, an homage to the time before widespread textile engineering in cycling.
Designed for scorching days and based on Castelli's renowned Climber's Jersey, the FORBICI 1.25 Jersey, like all of CHPT3's pieces, proffers a more casual cut than a typical racing jersey with longer, roomier sleeves. The fabric is a lightweight 145g/m polyester that's wound to give a soft hand feel while breathing and wicking extraordinarily well. A zippered hidden pocket secures valuables, and a reflective rear strip at the gripper improves visibility.
