This week we are taking a look at another of our resident racers, Brennan Wertz's Mosaic gravel race bikes, his Unbound Orange GT-1 45 featuring a generous amount of ENVE carbon, ceramic and titanium bits.
Frameset
A venerable Mosaic GT-1 45 adorned with an eye-catching orange-white fade with a generous amount of metallic flake to catch the mid-day sparkles. This color combo allows the navy logos to pop from afar. The orange with metal flake finish carries over to the seat post and stem to add visual cohesiveness to the build. The oversized titanium frame tubes are custom butted in-house at Mosaic's Boulder, CO, facility to optimize Brennan's explosive power output. The stays are shaped to help damp the ride and give plenty of clearance for those new René Herse 700x44s.
Drivetrain
The SRAM Red/X01 AXS mullet drivetrain is elevated to another level by a set of Look-SRM PM9 power cranks complete with a 24mm titanium spindle. To add an extra pop, the X01 AXS rear derailleur has been given the CeramicSpeed OSPW X treatment with an aptly named Fiery Orange Cerakote for both durability and visual punch.
Cockpit
Brennan runs an ENVE SES Aero handlebar held in place by a vibrant orange paint-matched ENVE road stem.
Wheels
The gravel racer's hoops of choice, ENVE's SES 4.5 rims, are laced to retina-searing Mango colored Chris King R45 hubs complete with King's ceramic bearings. These beautiful wheels are wrapped in René Herse's newest tire offering, the 700x44 Manastash Ridges in their tough and race-ready Endurance casing.
Details
Some bikes have a quiet presence. Then there are bikes like this that command the viewer's attention with their bright colors, dynamic finishing work and top-shelf parts selection. This is the perfect race weapon for our hometown hero. Go get 'em, Brennan!
